About  Mr. Paulovkin

From its founding in the year 1900, La Progresiva Presbyterian School has served thousands of families as an institution of educational excellence and ministry of Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of Dr. Robert L. Wharton, the school became one of the most prestigious schools in all of Cuba. Following the rise of the Communist regime, La Progresiva was forced to close its doors in Cárdenas in 1961; yet the spirit and ideals of the school lived on... Ten years later La Progresiva reopened in Miami, FL, thanks to the efforts of alumni and the First Spanish Presbyterian Church. With God's guidance, the school's mission continues to be the provision of quality Christian education in the 21st century and beyond.

I love teaching 5th grade, and I'm still so honored by my selection as Elementary Teacher of the Year during my 5th year at LPS! Now commencing my 11th year, I thank God for continually blessing me with remarkable students, including my earlier teaching experiences at Florida International University and Sunset Christian Academy. Ever since joining LPS I've felt at home and been encouraged to improve my teaching pedagogy. In Dec. 2015 I earned my Master's Degree in Religious Studies, and I look forward to starting the 2021-2022 school year with in-person learning. May God grant our children health, protection, and truly intelligent souls. May we as parents be good examples for them in the way they should go, "so that when they are old they will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
